Mad Ants Take Win at Home

FORT WAYNE, IN (December 19, 2014)- The Mad Ants, sponsored by Lutheran Health Network, exploded in their victoryat home beating the Westchester Knicks 113-96 Friday night at Allen Co. War MemorialColiseum in a second half offensive showcase.
Aftera slow start to the first quarter, the Mad Ants pushed the Knicks to a 16 pointhole, taking the lead at the half 58-42. Atlanta Hawks assignee, Mike Muscalalead the first half off the bench for the Mad Ants with 12 points and 5rebounds in his debut back in Fort Wayne. Teammate and New Orleans Pelicansassignee, Russ Smith, came off the bench to record 7 assists, complimenting his6 early points. For the Knicks, both Langston Galloway and Markeith Cummingsregistered 7 points each to lead at the half.
FortWayne remained dominant over the Knicks through the second half posting severalplayers in double figures, and finding themselves up the entire 24 minutes withleads of 25 or more. Leading the Mad Ants for the night was Washington Wizardassignee, Glen Rice Jr. with 21 points, while Smith finished with 19 points and11 assists. Muscala grabbed 11 rebounds to add to his 18 points on the night.
Forthe Knicks, Thanasis Antetokounm and Markeith Cummings finished the night eachrecording 18 points. Teammate Orlando Sanchez contributed 7 rebounds to leadthe team.
TheMad Ants will be back in action Saturday, December 20th as theytravel to Grand Rapids for an 7:00 pm tip-off with the Drive. The Mad Ants nexthome game will follow their last road game of December vs the Iowa Energy onthe 27th as they host the Austin Spurs on Sunday, December 28that 5:00 pm.
